European aircraft manufacturer Airbus reported revenue for the second quarter of 2026 of 20.5 billion euros, compared to 16.1 billion euros for the same period last year.
This is evident from the company's quarterly report published earlier on Wednesday.
Adjusted EBIT rose 54 percent compared to the second quarter of 2025 and amounted to 2.4 billion euros. Analysts' expectations were 2.2 billion dollars, according to Market Wire.
The result was driven primarily by larger deliveries of commercial aircraft and the ”Defense” and ”Space” business areas, according to the report.
”We are increasing capacity across all our business areas to meet the growing demand for our civil and military solutions,” said Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury.
The company reiterates its forecast to deliver 870 aircraft during the year and that adjusted operating profit will amount to 7.5 billion euros for 2026.
The company states that the forecasts include the effects of current tariffs and are based on the assumption that no further disruptions occur in global trade, the world economy, air traffic, supply chains or its own operations.
