The holidays may be over, but summer isn't quite over yet. The coming week will also offer a few days of sunshine and warm temperatures – in some places reaching up to 25 degrees.
But take the opportunity to enjoy it, says meteorologist Pall August Thorarinsson. A low pressure from the Atlantic is approaching.
It will be sunny across most of the country on both Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures will reach just over 20 degrees in the south and just under 20 degrees in the north.
It will be warmest on Tuesday in the Jönköping area, where the mercury in the thermometer can even reach the 25-degree mark.
– There may be thin veil clouds, but the sun dominates, says Pall August Thorarinsson, meteorologist at Stormgeo.
Then comes the rain
Towards the middle of the week, however, things will change. On Wednesday, low pressure will move in from the west, from the Atlantic, bringing with it unstable weather.
– During the morning and forenoon, the rain passes the West Coast and during the afternoon and evening the Stockholm area, before finding its way up over southern Norrland during the night, says Pall August Thorarinsson.
In addition, a cold front sweeps in and lowers the temperature to just under 20 degrees in the south and lower in the north.
– After the low pressure, there will be a break and sun, but not for very long. On Thursday, the next low pressure is coming, also from the west, says August Thorarinsson.
