Today, the government has decided to reintroduce border controls at Sweden's internal border. 

It is valid from November 12th until May 11th of next year. 

According to the government, the checks should be adapted to "what is necessary to protect public order and internal security" and the police will decide where they should be carried out.

Several other Schengen countries have reintroduced internal border controls, including Norway, Germany and Denmark.
