The warm weather of recent weeks is bringing new heat records in a continuous stream.
On Wednesday it was time again when Uppsala took first place for the highest temperature recorded this year so far with 29.3 degrees.
The latest heat record was in Halmstad on Monday with 29.1 degrees, which they themselves broke today with their 29.2 degrees.
Whether you like the heat or not, there will be a break.
– We have a cold front approaching, some of it has already passed parts of Norrland. Behind it is a little cooler air so now the high summer heat is over, says Ibrahim Al-Mausawe, meteorologist at SMHI.
After large parts of the country have had temperatures well above 20 degrees, we can already expect just under 20 degrees in Götaland on Thursday, between 16 and 20 in Svealand and between 10 and 15 degrees in Norrland.
Whether the month will offer more records remains to be seen.
"It's only mid-May and we can't make long-term forecasts. In the coming days there will be a different air mass, but by Sunday there will again be temperatures of more than 20 degrees," says Ibrahim Al-Mausawe.
