For at least another ten years, EU citizens can enjoy the abolition of roaming charges.

On Thursday night, an agreement was reached between the EU Parliament and the Council of Ministers that the popular system will continue until at least 2032.

”"The Roaming at Home policy has made all communication easier and cheaper when people travel in Europe. I am very happy," comments Bostjan Koritnik from this autumn's presidency country, Slovenia, in a press release.

The agreement, originally reached in 2017, means that consumers within the EU do not have to worry about expensive roaming charges or poorer connectivity when traveling in other EU countries.
