One of the big talking points this spring is the much-talked-about TV series The White Lotus, and the travel company TUI an increased interest in travelling to Thailand. TUI has now announced that they have added two of the exclusive hotels featured in the series to their offerings: Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas in Phuket Mandarin Oriental I'm in Bangkok.
We are constantly hand-picking both destinations and hotels based on new trends and our customers' interests. Thailand is indeed a well-known destination for Swedes, but more and more are discovering how versatile the country is. The new season of The White Lotus broadens the image of Thailand and shows that it is so much more than just simple bungalows and cheap pad thai on the beach. There are also exclusive hotels, luxurious rooftop bars and world-class fine dining here, says Dian Martinez Valencia, Communications Manager at TUI.
At the luxurious Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas in Phuket Do you live in an exclusive environment by the long beach Mai Khao Beach. The hotel is the filming location for the spa facility The Wellness Sanctuary and the character Belinda's hotel room. This is also where the dramatic opening scene in the first episode takes place.
Mandarin Oriental Bangkok is one of the capital's most distinguished hotels, known for its timeless elegance and first-class service. Located on the Chao Phraya River, the hotel offers an oasis of calm amidst Bangkok's vibrant energy. Among other things, one of the series' most iconic dialogues takes place here in The Bamboo Bar in section five.
