DThere will be liquorice for all tastes at Stockholm Arlanda Airport when the Lakritsroten store chain opens at the new Marknadsplatsen in December. The range includes everything from beloved liquorice classics to small-scale produced confectionery.

This autumn, the first part of the new Marknadsplatsen at Terminal 5 at Arlanda will open and several shops and restaurants will open their doors. Just in time for Christmas, it will be time for the second phase of Marknadsplatsen to open, and Lakritsroten will be one of the new players choosing to establish themselves at the airport.

In the commercial strategy for Marknadsplatsen, which is Arlanda's largest commercial venture ever, a varied selection and a wide price range have been two important aspects. A niche store that offers liquorice in the form of classics to small-scale confectionery fits well into the mix.

– There has been a pronounced demand for more Nordic, Swedish and local goods at the airport and a liquorice shop has been on our wish list. Licorice root will contribute to a memorable experience for travelers that they will want to share with others and experience again, says Charlotte Ljunggren, Director of Marketing and Sales, at Swedavia.

According to the press release.
