The number of corona infected people has increased in parts of New York. Now the city's mayor Bill de Blasio wants to close parts of nine areas in Brooklyn and Queens.
He has requested that all public and private schools and all non-essential businesses be closed in the areas. In addition, food service will not be allowed in restaurants. The measures will be in effect for between two and four weeks.
Governor Andrew Cuomo will now take a position on de Blasio's request.
