Warm air is now coming from the south and as early as Thursday the summer heat will take over the entire country.

– In southern Sweden, the temperature continues to rise and in several places it can be up to 30 degrees Celsius and even a little more, says SVT's meteorologist Nils Holmqvist. 

Today was the first time this year that the meteorologist had 30 degrees on his weather map. High pressure is expected in the coming days with high temperatures and occasionally strong winds. 

– At least it will be a nice breeze, says Nils Holmqvist. 

SMHI warns of high temperatures

The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) has chosen to issue weather warnings about high temperatures in Västmanland and Östergötland, among others. The risk of forest and ground fires in Götaland is also very high, writes SMHI.
