The number of bankruptcies continues to increase. In September, there were 14 percent more than in the same month in 2022, and overall this year the increase is 34 percent. This is according to new figures from the credit company UC.
”"What we are now seeing during the month of September is a frightening development where the high bankruptcy levels have begun to stabilize, which means that they are now commonplace for the market," says CEO Gabriella Göransson in a press release.
UC is now expressing concern that increased unemployment could lead to a vicious spiral.
”"This is one of the biggest concerns I see and a reason why bankruptcies could increase further from already record high levels," says Gabriella Göransson.
