The number of passengers flying with SAS in October amounted to 1.4 million, which was an increase of 130 percent compared to the same month last year.
”"It is positive to see that the number of travelers continues to increase even after the summer season and that ticket sales are rising," says SAS CEO Anko van der Werff in a comment.
Compared to September, the number of passengers increased by 250,000.
”The upturn continues and both capacity and load factor are higher this month. We still face challenges and an unpredictable future, which makes it extremely important to remain competitive. We must be flexible to meet changes in customer demand going forward,” says Anko van der Werff.
The cabin factor for October was 62 percent, an improvement of 23 percentage points compared to October last year.
SAS shares rise slightly after the traffic figures. Shortly after 11 a.m., the shares are up 4 percent after having been up 1.4 percent just before.
