AccorHotels opens its first Orient Express hotel.

This fall, Orient Express Mahanakhon Bangkok will move into Bangkok’s tallest building – the King Power Mahanakhon Building. One of the travel world’s most iconic brands will make its hotel debut exactly two years after AccorHotels bought the company in 2017. Now there is a vision to build a new collection of prestigious hotels.

“For almost a century, the Orient Express was a bridge between two different worlds. A journey by train was a historic and unique experience of history and modernity. This curiosity and mix of cultures will also characterize the new Orient Express hotels where today's modern travelers can feel a spirit of luxurious adventure,” says Sebastien Bazin, CEO of AccorHotels.

The legendary train, which for almost a century connected Europe’s greatest cities, from Paris to Istanbul, is now a timeless symbol of luxury travel. They were renowned for their exquisite craftsmanship, the most delicious food and the latest innovations on board. This high standard is now carried forward as the Orient Express Mahanakhon Bangkok opens the doors to the brand’s first hotel venture.

Orient Express Mahanakhon Bangkok will feature 143 rooms, 9 suites and 2 luxury floors designed by renowned designer Tristan Auer – filled with all sorts of luxurious amenities. Guests will also have access to the hotel’s SkyWalk – a spectacular rooftop terrace at the top of the building – where they can enjoy the best views of Bangkok. The hotel will also offer several culinary delights as one of the world’s top chefs, David Thompson, will open two signature restaurants in the building; Mott 32 and Mahanathi by David Thompson.
