More train departures are at risk of being canceled due to serious maintenance deficiencies on Öresundståg's trains, claims SJ, which has been operating them for just over a year.
Öresundståg is owned by six regional public transport companies in South and West Sweden, Kalmar County Transport is one of them. The contract with SJ is worth 900 million kronor per year and there is currently a conflict over the contract, it writes Today's News.
”"The vehicles are really worn out and there is a limit to how long you can temporarily repair them," says SJ's press manager Tobbe Lundell to DN.
