Fancy a holiday fling this summer? Then you're definitely not alone. According to a survey from hotel and travel search site momondo, more than three-quarters of Swedish travelers are open to romance while traveling this year – a doubling compared to a similar survey from momondo last year.
77 percent of Swedish travelers would consider dating someone they meet on vacation this summer. In addition, more than one in five Swedes plan to use dating apps while traveling – a clear signal that many are hoping to match more than just their outfit this summer.
– For many, traveling is not just about resting, but also about living a little more – and maybe meeting someone you would never have met at home, says Julie Astrid Thomsen, press officer at momondo.
Swedes also seem to have a clear preference when it comes to potential holiday flings. A full 38 percent find other Swedes to be the most attractive people on the trip – closely followed by Spaniards (25 %), Italians (24 %), Norwegians (17 %) and Greeks (15 %). For romance-hungry travelers, momondo has compiled a top list of the most searched flight destinations for solo travel this summer – with three of the Swedes’ top 10 also being in Spain.
