The Swedish Embassy in Mexico has issued a warning to Swedes following the killing of cartel leader ”El Mencho” by the military.
Following Sunday's firefight, violent retaliatory attacks and unrest have erupted in several parts of the region.
”Follow the instructions of the local authorities and avoid crowds. The situation can change rapidly,” writes the Swedish Embassy on Sweden Abroad.
