MSC Cruises has now inaugurated two new cruise terminals – MSC Barcelona Cruise Terminal and MSC Miami Cruise Terminal. The latter, with its 45,771 square meters, is the world's largest of its kind and can check in 36,000 passengers daily. The terminal is on four floors and can accommodate three cruise ships at the same time.

Among other things, there is biometric facial verification that will make check-in quick and easy, and the location will be the home port for the new flagship. MSC World America. The ship will be christened on Wednesday before its maiden voyage to the Caribbean. Next to the terminal is a parking garage with space for over 2,400 cars. The terminal also features seven works of art commissioned through Miami-Dade County Art in Public Places. The most notable feature is a 1,000-square-foot digitally projected installation that adorns the exterior of the building. It uses real-time NOAA ocean data to create an ever-changing display of tides, currents and weather patterns.
