The unstable weather will continue for a few more days – then summer will return.
On Sunday, SMHI has issued a yellow warning for torrential rain in eastern Svealand and southernmost Gävleborg County. There is also a yellow warning in central Norrland for heavy rain from Sunday afternoon to Monday morning.
”"It will be quite wet in many places. The weather that has been there for a while now continues and low pressure and unstable weather conditions are also expected for the first half of next week. But it is quite varied during the days. Both sun and showers occur," says Linus Karlsson, meteorologist at SMHI.
But from Thursday onwards, high pressure will come in from the southwest.
”"It brings with it a little warmer air. The uncertainty is of course how far north it extends. But at the moment it looks like we also in the north have temperatures approaching the 25-degree mark. And in the southern half of the country just over 25 degrees."”
The warmer period appears to be able to extend into the second half of next week, according to Linus Karlsson.
