On Thursday, the Swedish Armed Forces' traditional Christmas greeting from the air will begin.

The Christmas Tree Flight is a way for the defense to show presence in places they are otherwise not visible and a good opportunity for the pilots to practice flying in formation for an extended period of time.

The first airborne Christmas greeting of the year will arrive on Thursday, December 7th, from Blekinge Air Force Squadron, F17, which will then repeat the feat on December 11th.

On December 11, Norrbotten's air fleet, F21, will also fly. The following day, it's time for the people of Skaraborg to turn their gaze to the sky and a Christmas tree signed by Skaraborg's air fleet, F7.

On Lucia Day, the helicopter flotilla flies. Last to fly are the students of the air combat school, who fly over Mälardalen and Östergötland on December 18th.
