New and stricter restrictions will apply from 12 January. The background is an increased spread of infection and an increasing number of Covid patients in healthcare after the Christmas and New Year holidays. The measures will apply until further notice but will be reviewed every 14 days.
This applies from January 12th:
• Pubs and restaurants with a serving permit must close by 11 p.m. at the latest and a limit of eight people per party will be introduced. There is also a requirement for seated service.
• General advice is also being introduced that adults should limit their close contact indoors.
• For public gatherings and public events, a maximum limit of 50 people is introduced unless proof of vaccination is available.
• The advice against indoor cups and camps is extended with a review on January 31. However, training and competitions in regular league games can be carried out with risk-reducing measures.
• For public gatherings and public events of between 50-500 people, there must be a seated audience, a maximum of eight people per group and at least one meter of distance between groups.
• For universities and colleges, distance learning can be used as a tool. Both classroom exams and lectures should be given on more occasions to spread out.
New measures are also proposed that require changes to regulations and will therefore be able to enter into force somewhat later.
• It proposes a participation limit of 500 people for public gatherings and indoor public events.
• At trade fairs, vaccination certificates are introduced if the number of participants exceeds 50 people.
• For the number of people at private gatherings in rental premises, party venues and party boats, the maximum number is reduced from 50 to 20 seated people.
Recommendations that have been in effect since before:
• Avoid crowded environments and make sure to keep your distance.
• Work from home when work permits. Only employees who need to be on site should be.
• Only seated passengers on long-distance public transport. Face masks are recommended if it is not possible to maintain distance.
• Shopping centers/malls: Requirement of at least 10 square meters per person and to avoid crowding.
• Culture and leisure activities: Requirement of 10 square meters per person and to avoid crowding. Exceptions for activities aimed at children and young people, such as training and competitions.
• In-person instruction for primary, secondary and special secondary schools remains the main principle. However, gatherings with large groups indoors should be avoided and, to the extent possible, mixing different classes should be avoided.
