Third time lucky for space travel

This will be third time lucky for the launch of Boeing's Starliner crewed spacecraft, after it was halted at very short notice on the two previous attempts.

On both occasions, the two astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore were strapped in and ready in the spacecraft – only to then be forced to return to the strict quarantine they spent their time in before departure.

The third attempt is planned to take place just before 5 p.m. Swedish time on Wednesday, from Florida in the USA. The test flight, which is already several years behind schedule, is an important step for Nasa, which has long been looking for another private partner capable of taking astronauts to the ISS, something Elon Musk's Space X succeeded in doing in 2020.
