The holiday feeling doesn't have to end just because August is here. In several popular destinations in southern Europe, summer heat still awaits well into September. According to travel agency Ticket, late summer is also one of the most affordable times of the year to travel.

According to travel agency Ticket, there are still plenty of opportunities to enjoy the sun and water abroad when many people have returned from their summer holidays. Late summer often offers pleasant temperatures, warm seas and a calmer pace than during the high season.

– Late summer is a perfect time to travel. In many popular destinations, it is still the height of summer heat, while the pace is often calmer than in July. In addition, it is often possible to find more affordable trips, says Tiyoneh Jah, PR and communications manager at Ticket.

Summer heat is still waiting here:

Crete
In Crete, late summer is still warm and sunny, with temperatures around 30 degrees and a sea that has warmed up after the summer. A perfect destination for those who want to combine relaxing beach days with charming villages and good food.

Cyprus
Cyprus is one of the Mediterranean's warmest destinations even in late summer. Here you can expect long sunny days, temperatures that often exceed 30 degrees and warm bathing water - perfect for those who want to have a real summer feeling for a little longer.

Majorca
Mallorca is an excellent choice even in late summer. Here you can expect pleasant temperatures, a warm sea and a calmer pace than during the high season, making it easy to enjoy both beach life and cozy evenings.

Alanya
Alanya still experiences peak summer heat during late summer. Many hours of sunshine, warm bathing water and temperatures around 30 degrees make the destination an excellent choice for those who want to travel a little later in the season.

Algarve
On Portugal's south coast, late summer offers sunny days, pleasant temperatures and a climate that is just as suitable for relaxing on the beach as for hiking, golf or excursions along the dramatic coastline.

“Many of the classic holiday favorites are most enjoyable during late summer. The sea is warm after summer and the pace is often calmer than during the most intense holiday weeks, which makes the holiday extra relaxing,” says Tiyoneh Jah.
