Typhoon Dolphin is heading towards Japan, Reuters news agency reports. Over 500 flights have been canceled and around 260,000 people have been ordered to evacuate.
According to the country's meteorological agency, JMA, wind gusts of up to 55 meters per second are expected.
Last week, the southern island of Kyushu was hit by a powerful earthquake and around 6,700 residents of the city of Kumamoto are still in evacuation centers, writes Reuters.
