Thousands of tourists are stranded in Lapland, Finland, as very cold temperatures have led to numerous flight cancellations, reports the BBC.
On Monday, the temperature is expected to drop further to minus 39 degrees.
There is also a risk of crippling cold in northern Sweden. On Monday, SMHI issued a yellow warning in the Norrland mountains with a risk of strong cooling effect with a high risk of frostbite and hypothermia.
