The jury consisting of Visit Värmland's board has selected the Finalists for the Värmland Tourism Award 2022.
With the Värmland Tourism Award, Visit Värmland recognizes a company or organization that has significantly contributed to strengthening Värmland's tourism industry.
After a nomination process in which the public participated via social media, the jury, consisting of the Visit Värmland board, has now appointed the three finalists for the Värmland Tourism Award 2022.
– The jury has voted for the finalists who have all done a lot of good and contributed to strengthening the Värmland tourism industry. The assessment has been made according to three different criteria. The company or activity must contribute to a new and innovative development of the tourism industry, but there is also a sustainability criterion and a knowledge criterion to be fulfilled. This year's finalists are three really strong candidates; Alma Löv Museum Of Unexp. Art, Mattila Nature and Culture Association and Yggdrasil Igloo Water Huts, says Mia Landin, CEO of Visit Värmland.
The finalists are also presented in Visit Värmland's channels with a voting process, where everyone can participate and choose this year's winner of Värmland's Tourism Award 2022.
The prize, in addition to the diploma and the great honor, is a check for 10,000 SEK to be used for education or something else that the winner believes can be helpful in developing their activities further. The winner of Värmland's Tourism Award 2022 will be presented no later than September 15 and the prize will be awarded on November 17 during Värmland's Tourism Industry Days 2022. The winner of Värmland's Tourism Award will also be Värmland's candidate for the Great Tourism Award 2022.
Criteria for the Värmland Tourism Award:
Main criterion: The award winner contributes to new thinking and innovative development of the tourism industry.
Sustainability criterion: The award winner methodically and purposefully develops a sustainable business.
