One of the charter company Tui's aircraft was forced to cancel its planned route on Saturday morning.
The plane was en route from Landvetter Airport to Tenerife but turned around at altitude over Paris and flew back to Landvetter.
– We have technical problems with all the toilets on board, I don't know any more specific than that. But without functioning toilets we cannot carry out an entire flight and therefore the decision was made to turn around. The plane will now be examined to see what the fault is, says Eric Carlsson, press spokesperson at Tui.
There were a total of 80 passengers on board. All have been allowed to disembark the plane.
– We will now send text messages with information and distribute meal tickets to all customers. We have ordered a new plane with a new scheduled departure time of 3 pm this afternoon, says Eric Carlsson.
