The taxi industry has lost 40 percent of its turnover during the pandemic, according to a report from the Swedish Taxi Association, writes Swedish Radio Echo. At the same time, the number of taxis decreased by ten percent, according to the report.

It is mainly the usual driving that has decreased significantly, such as to and from the store, the restaurant or other activities.

Digital meetings have also meant that business trips are not as frequent today.

But other types of driving have increased. More common now are medical trips, Covid test deliveries, ride-hailing services and school transport.
