In April this year, Dalarna's commercial tourist facilities had 295,000 guest nights, which is 184 percent more than in April last year.
All other counties in Sweden also had more overnight stays in April than a year ago, according to recent statistics from the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth.
There is still a long way to go before tourism returns to normal levels, but the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Development expects tourism to increase as restrictions are eased.
