Tourists return to Iceland: "We are optimistic"”

During April, the number of hotel nights spent by foreign tourists doubled compared to last year, according to figures from Statistics Iceland.

Tourism is one of Iceland's main industries and the corona pandemic has hit the industry hard.

”We are optimistic. Bookings for June and July are good and August is even better,” says Berglind Arnadottir, who runs a small coastal hotel in Iceland.
