Tourists stuck on Norwegian mountain

A foreign hiking group, with about ten people, is stuck on the mountain Ekkertinden in Sunndal.

Norwegian police have launched a rescue operation where volunteers will help the tourists down from the mountain. A helicopter has also been deployed.

According to Daily Newspaper the tourists come from Southern Europe.

– It's cold in the mountains, right now it's around eleven degrees below zero in Sunndal and it's colder in the mountains, operations manager Eivind Klokkersund tells Dagbladet.
