At least one person is dead and twelve others are trapped when an elevator in a tourist mine in Colorado breaks down, NBC News reports.
A number of tourists who the emergency services managed to evacuate have complained of neck and back pain.
Police say the mine has not collapsed and that the people trapped have blankets and water while awaiting rescue.
