A major signal failure caused a complete stop to all train traffic between Malmö and Lund on Wednesday evening.
Initially, SJ expected traffic to be back on track before the morning rush hour on Thursday, but according to the new forecast, the fault will not be fixed until nine in the morning.
The Swedish Transport Administration has located the fault and repairs are underway. Buses will replace cancelled trains to the extent possible.
”"Unfortunately, it has been difficult to get hold of enough buses," the Swedish Transport Administration writes in a press release, urging travelers to choose other travel options if possible.
In addition to replacement buses, Skånetrafiken will be reinforced with staff to help coordinate travelers.
