After the handover ceremony on December 7th of Tallink Grupp's new vessel MyStar at Rauma shipyard in Turku, the vessel has now arrived at her home port in Tallinn. Tomorrow, December 13th, she will set sail from the port of Tallinn for her long-awaited maiden voyage to Helsinki. MyStar is the newest, most environmentally friendly and technologically advanced vessel on the Baltic Sea.

MyStar’s first commercial voyage will take place on December 13, departing Tallinn for Helsinki at 1:30 p.m. local time, replacing Megastar in the current shuttle service schedule. MyStar’s crew of 208 sailors is led by three captains – Vahur Ausmees, Aivar Moorus and Ain Aksalu.
The construction of the ship cost EUR 247 million and is financed with a EUR 196.3 million loan from KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH. The Finnish export credit agency ”Finnvera” guarantees 95 percent of this buyer credit after delivery.
