The French low-cost airline Transavia France is expanding at Stockholm Arlanda and expanding its destination offering with another route to France from the Swedish market, this time to the capital Paris.

The airline is now increasing its route offering with another route and launching direct service to Transavia's main base, Paris Orly Airport, with service starting on October 21.

Paris-Orly Airport is located in the south of Paris, just under 20 km from central Paris. The new route will complement the existing service from Stockholm Arlanda to Paris-Charles de Gaulle, and will make the French capital even more accessible.

Paris is one of the Swedes' absolute favorite travel destinations and traffic has had a stable growth for several years before the pandemic. The majority of travelers were tourists who stayed in Paris, but a significant proportion transferred and traveled on. There are around 30,000 expatriate Swedes living in the city with

surroundings. A large proportion of travelers between the two cities are international travelers, not residents of Sweden. Stockholm is also a popular tourist destination and in 2019, France was the sixth largest nationality in terms of international commercial guest nights.

As the world slowly opens up, we see that more and more people want to travel again and many airlines and destinations have returned to our airports.
