Train traffic to and from Gothenburg will be affected on the weekend of May 16-18. Book your trip in advance and travel well in advance, as there may be extra passengers in connection with the Gothenburg shipyard.
From 16-18 May, track work will be carried out, which will result in changes to train traffic on several routes to and from Gothenburg. This will have a major impact on the Västra Stambanan line, where train traffic will be completely suspended in both directions between Gothenburg and Alingsås and passengers will be referred to a replacement bus (more information below).
Search for the trip in advance and leave well in advance
This coincides with the Gothenburg Shipyard which takes place on Saturday 17th May and attracts many people to the city. So remember to check what applies to your trip in advance and go well in advance, especially if you have a time to spare!
For you as a traveler, this means that you will be referred to a replacement bus or other public transport for all or part of the route. Therefore, you may need to expect extra changes and longer travel times.
Please note that we only describe the general impact here - for more detailed information, please refer to the respective train companies and Västtrafik.
