The LO Transport union has announced a strike in the security industry after negotiations with employers stalled.
In the first stage, it concerns overtime and new hire blockades. But from July 3rd, a strike will take place, involving airport controllers at Bromma Airport and Landvetter Airport.
From July 5, the strike notice will be extended, if no agreement has been reached before then, to apply to Arlanda. There, a strike notice is being issued for work in x-ray, goods checks and gate reception.
From July 7, a strike will break out at the Ringhals nuclear power plant and include security guards, according to a press release from Transport.
The strike affects four workplaces and approximately 450 employees.
”"Both we and the employers agree that the industry has problems recruiting and retaining staff. To get more people into the profession and to keep them, we need to raise the starting salary and reward experience and competence. But Almega says no to that," says Tommy Wreeth, chairman of the Transport union, in the press release.
