The increased interest in travel continues even during the last intensive travel period of the year. According to new booking figures from travel agency Ticket, the total number of trips booked over the New Year has increased by 38 percent compared to the same period last year – and the increase is most noticeable to London.
According to travel agency Ticket, London is the top destination for the end of the year. Christmas bookings have more than doubled compared to last year, and the same trend continues over the New Year. The city is the destination where travel bookings for the New Year have increased the most – by a whopping 162 percent. London thus climbs from eighth to second place on this year's top New Year's destinations list.
– We see that many people choose to round off the year with a trip, and London has become the obvious choice for more and more people.
