Interest in booking travel during Black Week has grown in recent years, and this year's levels show that the promotional period continues to gain traction. According to travel agency Ticket, bookings increased by 19 percent during the week.

Travel bookings increased significantly during this year's Black Week. New figures from travel agency Ticket show that the number of trips booked rose by 13 percent compared to Black Week last year, and by 19 percent compared to the week before the campaign period. The development indicates that Black Week continues to establish itself as one of the heaviest sales weeks of the year, also for the travel industry.

– Black Week has become a week when many people take the opportunity to book their trips. It is clear that the campaign period influences Swedes' decisions and attracts both spontaneous and planned purchases, says Tiyoneh Jah, PR and communications manager at Ticket.

London stood out with the largest increase among the ten most booked destinations. Bookings there rose by 53 percent compared to Black Week last year, an increase that is in line with the growing interest in the city that the travel agency has noticed during the year.

– The next big campaign period awaits in January, when many people usually take the opportunity to make purchases on trips for spring and summer. For those who missed Black Week, it may be a new opportunity to find trips at good prices, concludes Tiyoneh.
