There is a travel fever among the Swedish people and the people of Norrköping, who are now booking trips at a record pace, are no exception. At Ving, new bookings from Norrköping Airport have increased by a whopping 175 percent compared to the month before. Ahead of the sports holidays, it is almost fully booked and the same applies to Easter. A new destination for the summer is Croatia and for the winter, Tenerife is back again after a few years of absence.
– We are seeing a fantastic upswing in bookings right now, so it is not surprising that the high pressure is reflected at the regional airports. There is undoubtedly a great pent-up desire to travel, both in the near future and in the future. It is also extra nice that we can offer trips to Croatia from Norrköping, and that Tenerife is back in the program, which we know is long-awaited, says Claes Pellvik, Head of Communications at Ving.
During the current winter, Ving offers direct charters to Gran Canaria from Norrköping Airport. Just in time for early summer, the Croatia season begins, which is flown in collaboration with the airline BRA. Cyprus is served throughout the summer and is flown with Ving's own airline, Sunclass Airlines. In addition, Ving also offers a number of departures to Rhodes in early summer, also in collaboration with BRA.
It's not just summer trips that are attractive. The good news is that Ving is now releasing trips for next winter, and for those Norrköping residents who long for the Canary Islands, two popular destinations will be available from Norrköping Airport. The tour operator will fly directly to both Gran Canaria and Tenerife with the airline BRA.
The last time Ving flew to Tenerife from Norrköping Airport was in 2019, before the pandemic.
