German travel giant TUI plans to close 166 stores in the UK and Ireland as a result of the reduction in travel in the wake of the corona pandemic.
The majority of the approximately 900 employees affected, around 70 percent, will continue to work in travel sales from home or will be given new tasks. Some may also be transferred to remaining travel stores, according to TUI.
