Travel company Tui will start flying to Rhodes again on Saturday, writes TT.
– According to Greek authorities, the situation on Rhodes is under control. There are only a few pockets of fire left and the evacuation order has been lifted, says Tui's communications manager Adam Györki to TT.
On Saturday, trips to the northern part of the island will resume. Next week, they will open for trips to the southern part.
– But it also depends on the condition of the hotels. We don't fly if there is ash around and so on. That's something we're looking at right now.
Apollo and Ving have canceled trips to the southern part, but continue to fly tourists to the northern part.
Both companies will begin opening for travel to the south side on August 6.
