Next year, the Canary Islands' longest beaches will be more accessible to Swedish travelers.
Travel company TUI continues to expand its offering and will launch a new direct route to Fuerteventura with TUIfly Nordic from Stockholm-Arlanda Airport in winter 2026. The new initiative means shorter travel times and more choices for Swedish travelers who want to discover one of the Canary Islands' most scenic and untouched islands.
Previously, TUI offered trips to Fuerteventura with scheduled flights and stopovers. The new direct route will now shorten travel times and make it easier to get to the island, which is known for its miles of sandy beaches, clear blue waters and relaxed atmosphere.
– We are very pleased to be able to offer a direct route to Fuerteventura next winter. Interest in active travel and nature-based holiday experiences is increasing and the island is perfect for travelers who want to combine beach life with activities, says Tommy Serban, Commercial Director at TUI in the Nordics.
Holidays for active travelers
Fuerteventura is known for its miles of beaches, open landscapes and a relaxed pace. Despite being the second largest of the Canary Islands, tourism is less noticeable than on many other islands. This makes it an attractive choice for travelers looking for nature, tranquility and authentic environments. The island is particularly popular with surfers. Many also choose to rent a car to easily explore the varied landscape.
Hotel tip: TUI MAGIC LIFE Fuerteventura
One of the most popular hotels on the island is TUI MAGIC LIFE Fuerteventura, located directly on one of Europe's finest beaches, just outside Jandía. In addition to several pool areas and restaurants, the hotel specializes in fitness, mountain biking and wellness, making it suitable for both families and adults looking for an active and comfortable holiday. For travelers who want total relaxation, there is a quieter, child-free area.
