1,000 tourists have been quarantined at the hotel in Tenerife where the coronavirus was detected. Travel company TUI confirms that two Swedish travelers are staying at the hotel.
”"We have two Swedes staying at the hotel and have traveled with us. As for Nordic guests, we have eight in place, including the two Swedish travelers," says Adam Györki, communications manager to TT.
TUI is trying to get in touch with the hotel and the travelers, but has not yet succeeded.
”"We have read in the media that this hotel has been quarantined, but we cannot confirm that information. The hotel is cordoned off, you cannot enter the area and it is difficult to call right now for obvious reasons.".
”"First and foremost, we want to confirm that they have been quarantined. We are also trying to get in touch with our guests who are staying there to maintain a dialogue, make sure the guests are okay and to see if there is anything we can do," says Adam Györki.
