A man stabbed and injured two tourists on Tuesday morning near Greece's biggest attraction, the Acropolis, in Athens.

The man attacked a man and a woman, both Greek-Americans, with a knife near the entrance to the Acropolis Museum, according to Athens police.

The woman was slightly injured in the leg while the man suffered more serious injuries in the arm. According to police, it appears that the attacker suffered from mental health problems.

The Acropolis hill in Athens is home to the famous Parthenon temple, and several other monuments. The site had 4.6 million visitors last year
