Now the UK is joining the countries that are introducing quarantines for arrivals in the fight against the coronavirus.

From June 8, a 14-day quarantine will apply to everyone arriving in the UK, Home Secretary Priti Patel announced.

The exception is those coming from Ireland. Seasonal agricultural workers and healthcare workers who travel to work during the corona crisis are also exempt from the rules.

”I fully expect that the vast majority of people will do the right thing and follow these measures,” says Priti Patel.

Anyone who violates the quarantine rules risks a fine of 1,000 pounds, equivalent to just over 11,700 Swedish kronor.
