American online taxi service Uber is buying the Danish taxi company Dantaxi, which has approximately 3,500 drivers in 75 different municipalities, according to a press release.

Dantaxi has so far been owned by the venture capital company Triton, while Uber left Denmark in 2017 due to the country's taxi legislation, which, according to the American company, made continued operations impossible.

However, Uber has been available in Denmark since the beginning of 2025 through a partnership with the taxi company Drivr.
