Uber has won a British legal battle, meaning the taxi service will get its license back in London, writes Reuters. Uber's shares are rising in US pre-market trading after the announcement.

Transport for London, which is responsible for traffic in the British capital, refused to give Uber a new license in 2019 due to repeated problems with, among other things, insurance and drivers driving with false identities.

Now, however, the company will be allowed to operate on the streets of London again. On Monday, a judge ruled that Uber is a suitable operator and that the company should therefore be given back its license.

Uber's stock rose just over 6 percent in American pre-market trading after the decision.
