Tech giant Uber is expanding in Sweden by launching its Uberx service in Örebro and Västerås.
According to Uber themselves, the service has been in demand in the newly launched cities.
”"We are always looking for new ways to reduce private car ownership, and we believe we can make everyday travel more efficient, contribute to reduced emissions and traffic congestion in more Swedish cities, and at the same time create new earning opportunities for professional taxi drivers around the country," says Uber's Nordic Head Peter Löfstrand.
Uberx is now available in six cities in Sweden. In addition to Örebro and Västerås, the service is also available in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Uppsala.
