Uber soars – revenues rise

American online taxi and food delivery service Uber's revenue increased by 14 percent to $13.2 billion in the first quarter of 2026.

Analysts were expecting revenue of $13.3 billion, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence.

Trips with the taxi company increased 20 percent to 3.6 billion and bookings increased gross by 25 percent to 53.7 billion dollars.

Adjusted EBITDA increased 33 percent to $2.5 billion, and the adjusted EBITDA margin as a percentage of gross bookings was 4.6 percent, up from 4.4 percent in the first quarter last year.

For the second quarter of 2026, Uber expects gross bookings to increase by between $56.3 billion and $57.8 billion. Adjusted earnings per share are expected to be $0.78–$0.82, compared to the expected $0.79 per share.

Uber rose around 9.5 percent in US pre-market trading on the report.
