The Swedish Foreign Ministry changes the travel advice for Malaysia.
According to the change, the advisory no longer applies to the stretch of coast of eastern Sabah between the town of Tawau and Tambisan Island, and 10 km inland.
Instead, it covers all islands outside Tawau and the coastal stretch up to the island of Lankaya.
”"The advisory is thus about a relief but also a tightening since more islands along the coastline than previously are covered," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs writes in an email to Aftonbladet.
The advice applies to non-essential travel.
