Members of Boeing's largest union will vote on Wednesday whether to end the strike that has paralyzed production for over a month, several media outlets report.

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers union, which represents 33,000 of Boeing's employees, has received a proposed agreement from the aircraft manufacturer that the union believes is worth taking up for internal decision, writes the Financial Times.

The union began the strike almost five weeks ago and since then there has been a virtual total halt in production of Boeing's best-selling 737 Max and two other models. 

Boeing has already been plagued by financial problems and crisis headlines before the strike. Weak safety procedures in manufacturing and development have come to light after several accidents.
